A Far-Future Science Fantasy Epic of Post-Human Sorcery, Ancient Tech, and Planetary Guardians

Three million years in Earth's future, human civilization has undergone countless collapses and rebuildings, resulting in a world where advanced nanotech and bio-engineering are perceived as sorcery. When malevolent warlord Shu-Gwelth unearths dangerous ancient military weapons to subjugate neighboring territories, Earth's immortal Guardian awakens.

The Guardian recruits Charley Judge, a resilient wilderness warrior, bestowing upon him ancient battle technology and mental disciplines. To stop Shu-Gwelth's army, Charley must travel across mutated landscapes, decode ancient human archives, and master lost technologies before his world falls to tyranny.

Why You’ll Love This Book

John Dalmas crafts an expansive science fantasy epic combining dying Earth worldbuilding with high-stakes martial adventure. Ideal for fans of Gene Wolfe's Book of the New Sun, Jack Vance's Dying Earth, and Fred Saberhagen.

How We Grade Our Books

📸 True-to-Life Photos: For all vintage and pre-loved books, the photos on the page are of the exact physical copy on our shelf. Brand-new books feature official publisher cover art.
New: Direct from the publisher; immaculate, unread condition.
Like New: Pristine condition with minimal to no shelf wear; looks unread.
Very Good: Lightly read with minor shelf wear or light cover creasing. Pages are clean, crisp, and unmarked with a tight binding. (Our baseline standard for pre-loved books.)
Good: A well-loved reading copy with visible shelf wear or page aging, but fully intact and structurally sound.
