A Hard Sci-Fi First Contact Thriller of Alien Megastructures, Jovian Moons, and Resource Harvesting

When an uncrewed Chinese research vessel mysteriously vanishes near Jupiter, Earth dispatches an international scientific expedition aboard the starship Jove Prospector. Upon reaching the gas giant, the crew discovers a massive, nomadic alien megastructure—a star-ship powered by antimatter—entering Jovian orbit.

The crew makes a terrifying discovery: the alien vessel is systematically siphon-harvesting Jupiter's dense hydrogen atmosphere to refuel its sub-light propulsion systems, threatening orbital chaos across the solar system. The team must board the alien megastructure to establish communication before Earth's planetary defenses launch a nuclear strike.

Why You’ll Love This Book

Donald Moffitt delivers a masterclass in hard science fiction exploration, combining accurate Jovian orbital mechanics with awe-inspiring alien technology. Perfect for fans of Arthur C. Clarke's Rendezvous with Rama, Larry Niven, and Greg Bear.
