A Night-Fishing Picture Book of Brotherly Trust and River Thunderstorms
Author Deborah Kovacs tells the story of two young brothers, Will and Johnny, who sneak out of bed for a secret midnight fishing trip along the river. As they row into dark waters and drop their lines, a sudden summer thunderstorm rolls in, turning the quiet river turbulent. Working together against wind and rain, the brothers rely on shared effort and trust to row their small wooden boat safely back home.
Why You’ll Love This Book
William Shattuck's rich pencil-and-watercolor illustrations capture the quiet magic and sudden drama of a night on the water. A touching picture book about sibling bonds, outdoor adventure, and overcoming fear.
