Between March 1988 and January 1990, Arthur Shawcross murdered eleven women in and around Rochester, New York, disposing of their bodies in the Genesee River and surrounding rural areas. Shawcross committed these crimes after serving fourteen years in prison for the 1972 child homicides of Jack Blake and Karen Hill in Watertown, New York.
