A Lois Ehlert Alphabet Picture Book of Produce, Cut-Paper Art, and Produce Glossary

Caldecott Honor author-illustrator Lois Ehlert introduces the alphabet through uppercase and lowercase letters paired with fresh produce from around the world. Utilizing Ehlert's signature bold cut-paper collage artwork, each page displays fruits and vegetables from A to Z—including apples, blueberries, endive, jicama, kumquats, papayas, and zucchini. An illustrated glossary at the back provides botanical origins, pronunciation guides, and culinary background for every featured food.

Why You’ll Love This Book

Lois Ehlert's vivid collage art combines letter recognition with healthy food awareness. A helpful resource for preschool and kindergarten classrooms, early literacy routines, and nutrition units.
