Burlesque dancer Annabel Battistella reveals her life story and the notorious 1974 political scandal involving Congressman Wilbur Mills.

In October 1974, a night-time traffic stop near the Washington Tidal Basin ended with stripper Fanne Foxe plunging into the water, exposing her secret affair with powerful U.S. House Ways and Means Chairman Wilbur Mills. In this candid memoir, Annabel Battistella tells her side of the scandal that shook Capitol Hill.

Battistella chronicles her upbringing in Argentina, her rise as "The Argentine Firecracker" in American burlesque, her relationship with Mills, and the media circus that transformed her overnight into a 1970s pop-culture icon.

Annabel Battistella offers unvarnished political scandal history, mid-century entertainment memoirs, and Washington D.C. insider intrigue. A collectible 1975 Pinnacle paperback for fans of vintage true crime and political history.
