A Texas True Crime Account of Cynthia Campbell Ray, David West, and the Campbell Inheritance Murders

In May 1982, prominent Houston, Texas attorney James Campbell and his wife Virginia were shot to death in their bed inside their memorial-area home. Initial police leads stalled until informants pointed to the victims' daughter, Cynthia Campbell Ray, and her boyfriend, David West.

Master true crime writer Jack Olsen details how West was manipulated by Cynthia to execute her parents to secure a multi-million-dollar inheritance. The narrative follows the Texas Ranger undercover operation, taped wiretaps, and the high-profile Houston murder trials.

Why You’ll Love This Book

Jack Olsen delivers a chilling examination of manipulative sociopathy and family murder for money. Essential reading for fans of Jerry Bledsoe, Joe McGinniss, and Ann Rule.
